The iridescent blue silk is just stunning! I saw this fabric and I just couldn't resist. Hand knit insets create an unforgettable piece of art! I love this technique and you will find other examples in my collection. This particular shawl has an inner lining of a very thin layer of polyester batting. Out lining around the inset gives an almost quilted affect. This shawl has body, is warm and unparalleled sophistication. This particular design will not be repeated although the technique will.

When I finished this spectacular shawl, it reminded me of my trips to the California Redwoods. This is a dramatic work of art that will be the envy of everyone who sees it! Luxuriously warm and soft, I have once again used one of my favorite yarns that results in beautiful art to wear! Each end is finished with a deep ruffle that adds to the drama. Although the colors are deep rich tones of nature, metallic threads have been used to add a sparkle here and there.
